11 Ways To Make This Your Best Year Yet

In order to grow and develop both personally and professionally, you also have to look back at and acknowledge the things that challenged you, the things that did not go so well.

There is nothing wrong with setbacks, in fact, I believe that if we don't have obstacles to overcome along the way we won't learn and grow. Thomas Watson, the founder of IBM, once said, "If you want to increase your rate of success, you better be prepared to increase your rate of failure."

We all have hopes and dreams for the future. Today the slate is wiped clean for all of us as we start afresh. Why not take a few moments to think about your dreams and goals for the year that starts today? In what areas do you want to grow? What is truly important to you? What challenges do you want to take on? Most of us don't realise what we can accomplish when we unleash the hidden talents that we possess.

To help you make this year your best ever, take a few moments to ponder these 11 suggestions:

1. Challenge yourself

Have a clear vision and focus of what you want to achieve and set a time frame. Challenge yourself to be the best you can be at all times. Visualise what you want to accomplish. See it in your mind. Write down your goals, have a plan of action, and never doubt you will be successful.

2. Find the love factor

Surround yourself with loving, supportive people. Stay away from the dream stealers, the people who would bring you down. Cherish the special people in your life and let them know you cherish them.

3. Dedicate quality time

Life is so precious; make the most of each and every day. Rise early, spend some quality time by yourself as well as with those you care about. Go for a walk, workout, read a book. Value not only the time you spend with your loved ones, but also the time you spend by yourself.

4. Stretch your comfort zone

Do at least one thing a day, which makes you feel uncomfortable. Push yourself; you will be amazed how far you can go. Remember: on the other side of fear is freedom. To remain stagnant is not to grow. To reach your full potential, you must rise above the fray and soar like an eagle.

5. Be passionate

Show passion in everything you do. Let it show in your body language, in your smile, in your voice. Let your eyes sparkle. Let the world see and hear your enthusiasm and let it feel your passion.

6. Serve others

Be a role model and mentor for people. Volunteer in your community and help others achieve their goals. Your world will be enriched and a better place for sharing your talents and giving freely of your time. Leave a lasting legacy.

7. Don't sweat the small stuff

Let go of the little things you can't control. Don't take yourself so seriously. Recognise that perfection isn't always the only option. Don't let life's imperfections bother you. Lighten up and see the funny side of things when they go wrong, the learning in them. Be tolerant, smile...don't waste your energies on the small stuff, you have much bigger fish to fry.

8. Live with integrity

Always be true to yourself. Take pride in whatever you do. Be proud of who you are and what you represent. Accept others with all their flaws. Show compassion and goodwill to your fellow human beings. Be dignified. Lead a life of purpose and be proud of your values.

9. Show gratitude

Show gratitude and say thank-you to the people who have helped you along the way. Send a handwritten letter to someone who has touched you. Call up a friend or loved one and tell them how much they mean to you. Compliment a colleague or business associate on a job well done. Show people you appreciate and care about them. Acts of kindness cost nothing but mean everything.

10. Celebrate success

Be proud of your achievements. Take time to recognise yourself and others for even the small successes. But also be humble and dignified, sensitive to people who are not as fortunate as you.

11. Exude a positive attitude

I cannot express enough the importance of having a positive attitude and believing in yourself. Yes, you can be well intentioned, you can be determined, but without a positive attitude about yourself and about life, you will not succeed. Dreams will die, goals will fade, and gloom and darkness will replace clear blue skies and sunshine in your mind and heart.

Remember people will sometimes forget what you say to them or do for them, but they will never forget how you made them feel in their hearts. Make yourself a commitment for this year not only to have the best year ever, but to help others that you care about accomplish this goal as well. - Sonny 'Djon

An African farmer had heard tales about other farmers who had made millions of dollars by discovering diamond mines. These tales so excited the farmer that he could hardly wait to sell his farm and go prospecting for diamonds himself.

So he sold the farm and spent the rest of his life wandering the African continent, searching unsuccessfully for the gleaming gems that brought such high prices on the markets of the world.

Finally, broke, worn out, and in a fit of despondency, he threw himself into a river and drowned.

Meanwhile, back at the farm, the man who had bought his farm happened to be crossing a small stream on the property one day when he saw something gleaming at the bottom of the stream. He picked it up. It was a sparkling stone - a good size stone - and, admiring it, he later put it on his fireplace mantel as an interesting curiosity.

Several weeks later, a visitor admired the stone, looked closely at it, hefted it in his hand and nearly fainted. He asked the farmer if he knew what he'd found. When the farmer said no, that he thought it was just a piece of crystal, the visitor told him he had found one of the largest diamonds ever discovered.

The farmer was astonished. He told the man that his creek was full of these brilliant stones, and his farmland was covered with them. Not all were as large, perhaps, as the one on his mantel, but they were sprinkled generously throughout his property.

Needless to say, the farm the first farmer had sold, so that he could search for a diamond mine, turned out to be the most productive diamond mine on the entire African continent.

The first farmer had owned, free and clear, acres of diamonds, but had sold them for practically nothing in order to look for them elsewhere.

The moral is clear: If the first farmer had only taken the time to study and prepare himself - to learn what diamonds looked like in their rough state - and, since he had already owned a piece of land, to thoroughly explore the property he had before looking elsewhere, his wildest dreams would have come true.

If each of us will only have the wisdom and patience to begin by exploring ourselves, we will find that we contain all the riches necessary to be able to succeed in whatever endeavors to which we may set our minds and hearts.

One force mobile will bring your business to the mobile user

When mobile phones came out, they were huge, and could be used for text messages and phone calls. This is no longer the case. Mini computers, with window interface, it is unheard of to imagine a world without cell phones. It is natural to take the next step and have your web page mobile friendly.

This is a Mobile site, or also called mobi site. When explaining to most business people
about mobi sites, there is a little skepticism. Yet marketing has to consider the
massive impact a mobile or mobi site offers any company.

President Obama used mobile marketing in his campaign and reached people who did
not read news papers, did not go to his normal web page, did not read electronic news..

but they responded to his mobile campaign.

If you consider the mobile population worldwide, the amount of time spent to
tweet, search or facebook via cellphone, it is clear that the mobile phone has come to
stay in a much bigger way than we might think.

A mobile site enables you to capture a cell phone mailing list, where you send one sms
to every one who subscribes to the news on your site. Quick, easy and responsive,
much more so than the email lists, that marketers used to rely on.

However, you can view any .mobi site on a normal PC web browser.

The mobi website is not a WAP which is a streamlined version of HTML for small screen
displays. It is simply a normal domain which is generally used for cellphone optimised

One Force Mobile can help you with a mobi site for your business. Contact us today for
a tailor made quote and reach a whole new market!

Bookoopop trends for Autumn and Winter 2009

In SA, we are still covering up to a rather harsh winter, but the plus size ladies of the Northern hemisphere have to start thinking warmer clothes.

Any plus size woman is always watching for clothes that does not add bulk to the larger frame, without freezing as it gets colder. While it is hard to focus on winter clothes when it is still so nice outside, you need to take your time to start looking for those trendy ,plus size ,outfits. Bookoopop is busy doing just that for you! Be sure to look out for our fall and winter trends on the Bookoopop page

A Flattering neckline is important when you have a full breast. The best choice is a V-neck. You do not need to hide your fuller breasts, but dressing the right way, can make your body look longer and bust smaller. Support, support, support! Choose the bra with wide straps. With winter coming, wear jackets or coats of solid colors with a V-neck neckline

The classic pencil skirt. A favorite to women in all sizes! Sleek pencil skirts streamline the silhouette and tone down layers or thicker pieces for balance. There’s no reason to stop wearing skirts just because summer’s over! Pair up with some tights, light or dark, boots or shoes and you’re good to go.

Belts and lingerie! Belts in any fabric, made of different materials including leather, wood, metals, etc. You can look for some interesting details decorating them, such as unusual buckles, patterns, extraordinary forms. A belt for your mood, your shape and to enhance you

Lingerie can be sensual but functional. Anything that makes you feel good whilst making you look good too, like the corsets featured in Bookooplus.

Leather is the perfect choice for shoes for autumn and winter 2009 - 2010 as it keeps you warm and adds to your style.Classy, trendy, you can start at your feet and follow this trend right up to your clothes!
Long boots match up well with jeans and skirts, or choose ankle boots if you are not comfortable and don't like your footwear to heavy.

Worth Looking at

Why the name bookoopop?

bookoo is slang for the French word beaucoup and pop for popular
it's cute and applies well to our demographics,(beaucoup as a lot)

Who can buy at bookoopop?

young (18-35) women with a sense of style and who want to be trendy but are plus size and cannot easily find trendy styles for their sizes

What made you start a plus size online shop?

I thought about this business years ago but never did anything about it. It's a good niche, especially in the US where people are getting bigger and bigger and they don't feel comfortable going to a store to shop because they are embarrassed and there aren't that many cute clothes out there for them.

The next period of intense solar activity is expected in 2012, and coincides with the presence of anunusually large holein Earth’s geomagnetic shield. But the report received relatively little attention, perhaps because of 2012’s supernatural connotations. Mayan astronomers supposedly predicted that 2012 would mark the calamitous "birth of a new era." Whether the Mayans were on to something, or this is all just a chilling coincidence, won’t be known for several years. But according to Lawrence Joseph, author of "Apocalypse 2012: A Scientific Investigation into Civilization’s End," "I’ve been following this topic for almost five years, and it wasn’t until the report came out that this really began to freak me out."News - globalnetmarketing

proudly plus size

it is true that people form an impression of you when they see you the first time, something that may change if they get to know you better.
First Impressions does not mean you need to stay at home if you are plus size!
Make sure that you come across fresh and happy ( only you can make yourself happy)
Wear a size that FITS. Do not go a size bigger or smaller than what you are. Too tight looks cheap and too big looks sloppy.
Draw attention to your assets: Eyes, Breasts Legs or ankles. And like who you are!
Match what you wear to the style you want to present. Stylish can be casual ;)
Take care of your hands and feet, with creams and manicures.
Pick a hairstyle that is modern yet suits you and portray who you are.
LIFT your head and smile.
LIKE yourself.
For advice on the plus size figure, chat to Ariane at and you might just learn a thing or two !

It also helps to look at the clothes she selects for the larger lady, Get an idea of what you like and then buy it ;)
It might just change your life ;)

Plus size Apple turning into a siren with a clever trick

A friend of mine allowed me to talk her into wearing a corset. She has lovely legs and arms but her weight is between her breasts and her pelvis, We choose a sexy black leather corset, lovely and soft to the touch , yet firm to hold or change a figure. It was designed, so no bra is needed with adjustable straps and a zipper at the back. She laughed when I zipped her in, gasped a little when I adjusted the laces on the sides, commented on how this made her stand and sit correctly, with the corset supporting her back muscles. She also loved to cleavage she now had! I do think that there were some advantages to our great grandmothers! And then the wow came.. she was suddenly 2 sizes smaller! And she had a waistline! Because of the relaxed muscles around her stomach now being trained to be pulled tight, She didn't have to opt for the bigger tops to cover her stomach because it was virtually flat! Have a look at the lovely range of tops and blouses that Bookoopop offers. Affordable price, dressing away from your issues, feeling feminine and modern

2012,Larry Joseph and 2012 secrets

The blockbuster movie 2012 is released later this year. Larry Joseph ( or Lawrence E. Joseph) as he signed his book Apocalypse 2012 , has been interviewed regarding this fascinating topic. Interviews will be screened before each show of the movie 2012.

There is a game released the beginning of August 2009, called 2012 SECRETS . This deals with Apocalypse 2012 and has many twists and turns , how to cope with An Apocalyptic event!

In between levels (as the next level is loading) we have so called “What if…?” sections that will ask the gamer a very brief question (for example “Will the Apocalypse really take place?”) followed by a brief answer from the author.

“2012 Secrets” is the first game in a series of Apocalypse 2012 games that we will create in collaboration with the world-renowned author Lawrence E. Joseph

• Apocalypse 2012 Secrets is a so called hidden object game with some shooter qualities (for example simply shooting an object by “taping” on it with a finger)
• It offers a total of 10 levels of which each basically consists of one high-resolution image o More levels can be created down the road and offered as upgrade
• In each image the gamer needs to find and shoot at a total of 15 objects that are well integrated into the image o The 15 objects are listed at the bottom of the screen o An additional 5 objects are shown in the picture o Each drawing has the irockgames logo hidden; finding the logo creates 200 points
• With each object found the gamer gets 100 points but also loses 50 points after 20 seconds of not finding another object
• If the clock hits zero or the score reduces to zero, all the objects are redistributed into the image (in different locations) and the game begins anew
• Every time the game is played the objects are in different locations which allows the gamer to come back and play the same level again and again
• In between levels (as the next level is loading) the gamer will be asked a question about the Apocalypse and, two seconds later, presented with an answer (we want to encourage our gamers to learn something while they are playing so they can walk away with new knowledge).

More exciting news is that Larry's new book, following the best seller Apocalypse 2012 will be released early next year.

Mimecast gives you the functionality that you would expect from all the industry leading email security, continuity and archiving products, but you get it in one place and on one platform. If there is a feature you need that Mimecast does not already have, tell us about it and we are likely to work quickly to incorporate it for you. Unified email management is the way forward.

Mimecast is secure

Security is paramount for Mimecast especially when we are the trusted guardians of your archived data. Mimecast handles massive loads of email every minute of the day so our architecture has been designed to scale with our own growth and yours. Our grids enables us to upgrade and scale continuously and avoid disruptive overhauls. We are used to growth, we are designed for it, and making growth happen is in our DNA
