I will be a grandmother..of a lovely babygirl called Clarise..I cant wait..
When you become a grandmother, or hear that you will be one.. a quiet comfort of happiness wraps you. You still feel young but you feel old as well... more wise as old.
I feel as if I know Clarise.. I am not what you would call : a convential grandmother, I am a crazy bubble of emotiional spirit.
She smiles at me through the photos of her scan, stretch and show me her delicate profile, making me remember the features of my son, many years ago but also seeing her mother's nose... the intricate mesh of combined dna.. a new life.
